Sunday’s Smiles

The following made me smile this week:

  • lunch with our youngest son and his girlfriend

  • my psychologist told me one of my medications may cause weight gain and if it did, I could stop taking it. He said that it makes people think they want to eat all the time, but it’s “all in their head”. Ha! Silly man. My mind already prods me to eat when I’m not hungry.

  • cheesecake as a birthday cake. oh. my.

  • learning something new about post processing my photos. There are a ton of features in my favorite program that I’m not utilizing.

  • while standing in the pet food aisle at the store, I swore I heard voices. I thought I was in some serious trouble until I realized the voices were coming from one of those shelf hook display things with little cat toys hanging off of—making noises if they are moved. whew!

  • standing on the deck in the wee hours of the morning and listening to the birds waking each other. The cardinals, the finches, the wrens, the mourning doves—and a special treat, an owl.

  • it’s Birkenstock season. Birkenstocks without socks. šŸ˜€

  • our oldest son came by for dinner yesterday—the second best part of my week.

About April

I'll come back to this when I find out who I really am. I've been through some extremely rough patches but they have made me a better person. I blog if my brain is functioning first thing in the morning.

Your smiles made me smile, too.

I’m planning to put out the hummingbird feeder this week. Can’t wait to see our tiny friends again!

  2. All I know now is that I miss my Birkenstocks and I want cheesecake! lol šŸ˜€

I started to feel guilty about the cheesecake, but it was short lived. Now I have to return to real life and deprivation.

  3. Happy Birthday Cheesecake is amazing. It was our wedding cake. šŸ™‚ This time of year I always say “short pants and fake tan time!” šŸ™‚

Lots to smile about there! My smile yesterday was a beautiful sunset.
